HENDERSONS - River Views in Gravelly Beach

Hendersons federation home is situated along the beautiful Tamar River in Gravelly Beach, Tasmania and the heart of the Tamar Valley Wine Region. The original part of the house is over 100 years old with the back extension that was added in the 70’s. We renovated it in 2014 and chose to keep the unique characteristics of the home. We added our own decorative touch, which we hope you love as much as us. We maintain the home regularly to keep it to a high standard for our guests to enjoy!

Hendersons holiday home has a large living area perfect for a comfortable stay. The dining is in a separate room and seats 6. A breakfast bar is close by and extra seating is available if necessary. The kitchen is easily accessible, with the essentials at arms reach for your convenience. We provide a dishwasher and a coffee machine with pods for our guests also.

Hendersons has 4 spacious bedrooms housing a total of 9 guests with a mixture of both hard and soft mattresses to suit most. Bedrooms 1 & 2 are at the front of the house with views of the Tamar River. Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed, TV & DVD player. Bedroom 2 has a queen sized bed. Bedroom 3 also has a queen sized bed and bedroom 4 (kids room) has a double and single bed.

Hendersons has two bathrooms, one which has a separate toilet and the other bathroom houses the laundry.

The view from the front of the house is just gorgeous overlooking the palm trees across the road on the Tamar River. It is a perfect spot for making memories and watching the sunrise.

Hendersons has a huge swimming pool perfect for the Tasmanian summer. It is approximately 12m long by 4.5m wide and ranges from 1.6m in the shallow end to 2m in the deep end. Please note the pool is ONLY solar heated, therefore the temperature of the pool is up to the unpredictable Tasmanian weather. We do only run the solar heating from October through to March. We also provide some noodles, balls & pool games for all our guests to use.

Please also note, given the age of the pool it does have some wear and tear on the concrete. It is still perfectly swimmable and chlorinated for guest use. The pool is getting repainted in October. Guests staying prior to this, we hope you can understand.

It has a large front yard and the backyard is perfect for the kids to play around in.

For Winter all bedrooms have heating, Bedroom 1 & 2 have a heat pump and bedroom 3 & 4 have panel heaters. All beds have electric blankets and extra blankets are provided if necessary. There is a heat pump in the lounge room as well for your comfort.

For Summer, air conditioners are in bedrooms 1 & 2 & in the lounge room as well.

Hendersons is approximately a 25 minute drive north of Launceston, perfectly located on the Tamar Valley Wine Route. Enjoy the scenic drive where you'll come across several cellar doors. A few cellar door suggestions of ours are:
- Marions Vineyard, Deviot
- Cabbage Tree, Beaconsfield
- Apogee, Lebrina
- Jansz, Pipers Brook
- Stoney Rise, Gravelly Beach

We provide Wi-Fi at HENDERSONS, at no extra charge.

The whole house is available when booked for your stay
Depending on the number of the guests staying the price will change
More than 2 guests: $40 per guest per night
Nightly price varies also, depending on the time year

If for some reason additional guests stay that are not included in the original booking, for those guests there will be an additional charge for them.

Hendersons is on the main road - 309 Gravelly Beach Road but vehicle access is at 2 Hendersons Lane (the first driveway on the right hand side, approximately 50m from the corner).
