Flinders Island Gourmet Retreat at Cooma House is a newly renovated guesthouse with five double rooms, one of which is all access and a bunk room.

The property is on the doorstep of the National Park, the beach just down the road.

The owner (Wendy) offers cooking schools and other packages.

THE SPACE
We have 5 newly built bespoke rooms each with en-suites, plus a bunk room with a dedicated bathroom. In your room, it’s private, snug, and comfortable and you have a smart TV served by satellite. Your en-suite is bright and private. Enjoy our little reading nook, browse our library and sit in a chair together with a Nespresso coffee.

Inside, we have two small meeting spaces, there’s a sheltered outside studio providing seaside views, a north-facing courtyard for cafe or bbq and long tables with chairs on the eastern veranda. Breakfast is included and other meals can be arranged separately at an additional charge. Cooking schools are offered on a separate calendar on the Flinders Island Gourmet Retreat website. The host will not only cook you breakfast every morning but arrange room cleaning and beds made up every day.

There are opportunities to book scenic flights, golf, charter fishing, bushwalking or history, and other tours of the island.

If you want a short distance break that is 6 degrees warmer than Melbourne in winter then come along and visit Flinders Island.

All linens and towels will be included for your convenience.

Lost or damaged hired linen/towels may incur costs. Ready Set Stay will assume no linen or towel sets are requested for hire unless advised. For linen or towel hires, advise Ready Set Stay asap as delivery charges may be charged for late notice requests.

We are happy to be contacted via the booking platform anytime during your stay. For any urgent requests, please text and call us. The key will be available at the property and therefore unfortunately we do not get to meet, but this provides a simple way for you to enter and depart the home.

There are many activities to do around the property, such as joining cooking classes, have a walk to the beach, and do bird watching.

Stretch your legs along the paths down to the sea. Immerse yourself within our jewelled labyrinth or find a bush ‘chapel’.

Smell the beach and the salt-wet rocks. Feel the air move - and watch the eagles fly.

You can have a nice walk with great scenery in this area.

Renting a car might be necessary if you want to visit other attractions Flinders Island offers.

ADDITIONAL RULES
Strictly no schoolies, parties or events. Mature guests only. The property is patrolled by security. If neighbours complain or police are called this could affect your bond and we have the reserve the right to evict guests.
