Orford is a pretty seaside village about one hour's drive from Hobart. Located in a quiet street near walking trails and a short walk to East Shelly Beach and Spring Beach, The Orford Getaway is the ideal place to relax and unwind.
The Orford Getaway offers excellent accommodation for up to 6 guests. It is a bright and sunny, 3 bedroom home with open plan kitchen-living-dining and ensuite with the main bedroom. The back deck has a gas barbeque perfect for relaxing entertaining. The yard is fenced and secure. There is off-street parking and room for a boat and trailer.
The backyard is fully fenced and ensures safety for pets and children. Up to 2 house trained dogs allowed. No cats permitted.
East Shelly Beach - a great place for safe swimming, kayaking or just building sandcastles - is just a couple of minutes walk away. The nearby scenic cliff-top walk takes you to magnificent Spring Beach which is famous for its crystal clear water and white sand.
The coastal bike and walking paths are only 50 metres away. The paths are a wonderful way to access the town centre where there are lovely cafes, a local IGA, newsagent and ATM - all open 7 days. Spring Beach is only a 15 minute walk from The Orford Getaway.
Just 15 minute drive to the north is the town of Triabunna. This is where the ferry leaves for Maria Island - a destination not to be missed by nature-lovers and history-buffs.
There is so much to do and see ... but its also a perfect venue for rest and relaxation.
Families will appreciate the proximity to the safe beach which also provides for an energetic walk with the dog before breakfast, a romantic stroll at sunset or try your hand at fishing at any point along the expansive, pristine shoreline.
Historic, bush walks are not far away as well as longer trips along the coast road to the resorts of Swansea and Bicheno as well as world renown sights such as Coles Bay. Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula which feature some of Tasmania’s finest white sandy beaches.
Boat trips exploring the historic coastline with opportunities to view some of Tasmania’s marine life along the way, depart from the nearby fishing port of Triabunna, only 15 minutes drive from Orford.

The kitchen is stocked with basic condiments, tea, coffee, oil etc.
The main bedroom includes a modern ensuite with a queen bed. The other bedrooms have queen beds. All bedrooms have built in wardrobes.
There are boogie boards, child’s surf board, bikes, buckets and spades, surf ski and child’s kayak.
The open-plan living room and kitchen has modern appliances including fridge, microwave, dishwasher, oven and cooktop, speaker with Bluetooth, television and DVD player.
